The mother of the House of Evangelista was all smiles as she sashayed down the red carpet at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York Cityin a mint green long-sleeved gown. We spoke to the actress about the show’s second season and the importance of black and trans narratives, and how she finds power in living out loud.
“There’s also a two year time jump,” she said. “We’re tackling a lot of musical aspects of what happened in 1990 and how the peak of ‘Vogue’ came about within certain music.” We also talked about our love for the queen of pop herself, the one and only Madonna. “She changed a lot for us in the community with putting us on mainstream television.”
