I have been a morning person my whole life. I love waking up fresh and starting my day off as early as possible. There’s something about waking up with a smile, looking at the sun and smelling that fresh cup of coffee that really is one of the best feelings in the world.
Not a morning person? Even the most dedicated night owl can become an early bird with these simple tips!
Go to bed early
This is probably the hardest one for me. Although I’m a morning person, I’m also a night owl and I love to stay up late. One of the reasons is because I feel the most inspired and creative at night. My creative juices are flowing and I just want to work. Whether it’s on my blog, editing videos or thinking about new content, there is something so magical about it and some of my best ideas have come from working at night.
But, staying up late everything can put a damper on waking up early in the morning. Try going to bed earlier a few nights a week. Even if it’s just an hour or two earlier every night, a good night’s sleep will leave you feeling even more energized and ready to wake up earlier in the morning.
I like to set up everything that I need to do the next day, the night before. Things like my outfits and my itinerary are set up the night before, so that I’m not running around trying to get everything together in the morning. I think that eliminating the stress of running around makes the mornings more relaxing and enjoyable.
Create A Good Playlist
I love a good playlist! My friends know me as the friend who has a playlist for everything! Creating a fun, upbeat playlist is the best way to get your energy flowing and put you in a good mood. There’s something about dancing around in the morning that makes me so happy and so ready to start the day.
Find the time to work out can be hard but it’s the most amazing feeling when it’s completed. I like to start my mornings by going for a run or going to a hot yoga class. Another perk to working out in the morning is that you can get it off your checklist for the day and not have to dread working out after work when you’re too tired.
