If you’re like me, your lips get a little drier in the winter. We all want kissably soft lips but something you need something a little more than just your favorite lip balm.
One of the best beauty tips I’ve learned from the makeup artists I’ve worked with is to exfoliate your lips. Buying good lips scrubs can be expensive and sometimes the ingredients can make your lips worse. So, why not make your own lip scrub from scratch?
Check out this amazing recipe for a DIY sugar lip scrub. All day soft, kissable lips in less 5 minutes? Yes, honey!
HONEY SUGAR LIP SCRUB
- 2 teaspoons sugar (you can use pretty much any sugar: raw sugar, brown sugar, regular sugar)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon almond oil
- Optional: add a dash of cinnamon or cayenne if you want to naturally ‘plump’ your lips
Mix everything together in a small bowl until you have a paste. Apply to lips with fingertips and massage into your lips to gently slough off dry, dead skin cells. You’ll be tempted to eat the mixture – it tastes pretty darn good! Rinse with warm water and follow with lip balm. Keep any extra in a small container.
