OH MY GAGA! Lady Gaga didn’t just give us a look at the 2019 Met Gala. She gave us looks foe days! This year’s theme for the fashion gala was camp, and we’d say, she nailed it.
The singer/actress arrived the Met stairs wearing an oversized hot pink parachute gown by friend and designer Brandon Maxwell. Complete with a She styled her look with long gold eyelashes, a bow-adorned headband and a blonde bob. Gaga also carried around a clear wagon full of Rosé (sounds like our kind of wagon), some baby pink cowboy hats (similar to the ones she wore in her Joanne era) and the words “Haus of Gaga” written on it. Oh, and she also had her escorts carrying umbrellas while they posted around her. Because, duh.
Once she was done posing in her first outfit on the carpet, her escorts and Brandon helped her remove her pink gown to show off a black gown underneath. She then posed holding up an umbrella (come through with he Mary Poppins moment, Gaga!). And just when we thought her theatrical performance was over, Gaga walked back down the stairs and back up to show off a third look — yes, a third look! She posed in a hot pink silk dress with giant Linda Farrow sunglasses and a telephone in hand.
And there’s more! Gaga’s third and final wardrobe change for the red carpet walk was her most Gaga look of all: she took off basically everything and ended up in a black sequined bra, underwear, sheer tights, and bedazzled platform boots. AMAZING as always, Gaga!
