After more than a decade in the music industry, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex have shown that they aren’t just artists. They’re also fighters.

To say that their time in the spotlight has been a rollercoaster would be a huge understatement. After making their debut in 2005 on MTV’s Making The Band with Diddy, Aubrey and Shannon were catapulted into superstardom and took the music world by storm with their record breaking girl group Danity Kane. Fast forward to three years later, with only two studio albums under their belts, the group called it quits.

Then in 2014, the ladies (minus D Woods) got back together for a short period of time. Shortly after their comeback announcement and mini tour, Aundrea Fimbres quit the band, leaving the group as a trio, with Dawn Richard. The ladies released their third studio album, got into an argument in the record studio and broke up again. Confused? Good, so were we.

But Aubrey and Shannon are fighters and they had more music to share and that’s where their new pop duo, Dumblonde was formed. Their debut self-titled album already topped iTunes’ Dance Chart before breaking the Top 10 overall.

We hung out with Aubrey and Shannon after their sold out concert at The House Of Blues in Boston. Watch our interview with the ladies below!
